No-Prep or Low-Prep Halloween Activities for your Students 🎃👻

Halloween is right around the corner, you're stressed out putting up the decorations, getting costumes together and buying heeps of candy for the trick or treaters that you've forgotten to plan some Halloween fun for your students. Never fear (even though it's spooky season) because I've got you covered with some last minute no and low prep Halloween activities that you can do tomorrow!

1.) Guided Halloween Drawings

Good for any age, whether it be used for a brain break or an incentive, simply distribute paper, push play, and draw. Turn it into a fun ELA activity by making it a card and having student write a note to wish a friend or family member a Happy Halloween.

2.) Spooky Halloween YouTube for Independent Work

You probably have some independent work planned in the near future. Make it more fun by having a Halloween themed background projected during your student's independent work time. This can also be used motivate students to stay quiet during work time. If you and your students enjoy this consider checking out my blog on Mental Health Activities which offer similar strategies to encourage students.

3.) Halloween History Blookets and Kahoots

If you teach Social Studies shouldn't teaching your students about the history of Halloween count as a history lesson? Here are a few blookets and kahoots on the history of Halloween that you can play tomorrow!

4.) Draw Your Teachers Halloween Costume

A classic Halloween activity for younger students, however one could argue that older students might actually have more fun with this. Let your students get in touch with their spooky creative sides and design a Halloween costume for you. Remember to tell them to keep it school appropriate!

5.) Glue Ghosts

You have some liquid white glue laying around somewhere in that mess of storage cabinet. You may also have googly eyes somewhere or I double dog dare you to send out an all staff email, offering no explanation, asking if anyone has any they can spare! Pull out that glue though and put it to good use by making ghosts with just glue on binder sheet protectors! Follow the YouTube tutorial below and rejoice in letting your intrusive thought of pouring out glue win! Bonus if you add a little white glitter like in the tutorial because everyone loves a ghost that ✨️sparkles✨️a bit!
